It's that time of year. People are murdering trees and dragging their corpses into their homes to drape in brightly coloured humiliation. The world over, dads and grandads are donning itchy novelty jumpers two sizes too big. And Hawk wargames have joined in the festivities with their 12 days of Christmas previews. As an early present for Jesus' birthday, we've collected the images together and tried to guess what they could be for you!

On the first day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a UCM tank. The turret design makes me think some sort of anti air, maybe something a little more powerful than a Rapier.

On the second day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a scourge Walker. It looks like this will be bigger than a Prowler, but not as large as the Annihilator.

On the third day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, A Shaltari Walker. What we can see of that weapon makes me think this will be a very heavy hitting unit. The large cannon, wide platform body and low to the ground stance gives it a real sense of power.

On the fourth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a PHR grav tank. Up until now, the PHR have only had tracked tanks, but in my opinion, grav tanks suit their visual aesthetic much more. This looks like it will be another heavy hitting unit, possibly a missile pod of some sorts?

On the fifth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a UCM flier. This looks as though it could be based off the condor chassis, it has the same wing structure and sloping body. Whether this modification will be a transport/offensive blend or if it will be entirely offensive remains to be seen.

On the sixth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a Scourge flier. The sleek design of this unit makes me think we're looking at a fast moving fighter type. I'd guess that it will be a little bigger than the Corsair light ship.

On the seventh day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a Shaltari flier. Of all of the previews, this one is the most exciting in my opinion. It looks like this will be a new heavy hitter for the Shaltari. I'd imagine it will be one of the large air kits costing around £25. Of course, it could be a trick of the "camera" and turn out to be a tiny tank. . .

On the eighth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a PHR flier. The size and shape of this unit, coupled with the large lens on the front makes me think this will be a new nimble scout unit.

On the ninth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a UCM fire tank! At least I assume it's a flame tank, based on the barrel. I imagine this will be particularly effective against those pesky Scourge!

On the tenth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a Scourge Walker. Again, this looks like a nice large unit, the sort of thing the Scourge would use to bombard cities. It may even have a bonus at taking out building, though that is just a guess and not based on any actual information.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a Shaltari walker. The turret makes it look like this walker might be AA focused (the pose supports the theory) What I like about the new Shaltari stuff is that they look large and bulky, but still retain that sleek style the rest of the range has.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, Hawk Wargames gave to me, a PHR grav tank. This tank looks a little bigger than the other one shown and may fill the role of a heavier hitter.

There you have it folks, 12 days, 12 new images. Hawk will be showing the full models each day until Christmas Eve. I'll try and get another round-up out before Santa forces his way down my chimney.

Are you excited for the new Dropzone units? Let us know in the comments. And if there are any games you'd like us to start covering, or cover more of, let us know too!

Happy Wargaming
